On Wednesday 20 September, enthusiastic Tilburg scientists will tell all about their latest or most talked-about research during 'De Tafel van Martinus': Tilburg University's science talk show.

In the Studio Room of Schouwburg Concertzaal Tilburg, interviews about research are interspersed with music, a column and visual commentary.

There are interviews with:

  • Tineke Snijders from the Department of Cognitive Neuropsychology. She received a Vidi grant for her research on 'language development in the brain';
  • Jan de Wit from the Department of Communication and Cognition. He explains his research on 'what we can learn from robots', including the use of robots in education;
  • PhD students Jamie Breukel and Amber Kersten, both from the Department of Human Resource Studies. They talk about their experiment during the Lowlands Festival on 'collaboration in teams'.

There will also be a column by cultural scientist Martin Hoondert on 'nostalgia', comics by Jeroen de Leijer and music by Paloma Lázaro Arteaga, one of the talents of Music Hub Brabant. Presentation is in the hands of Richard Engelfriet.

The Table of Martinus will take place from 20:00 to 21:45, walk-in 19:30. A ticket costs €4, which includes a consumption upon entry. Tickets can be ordered via the website of Schouwburg Concertzaal Tilburg.
