Commissioned by Likeminds, Maxine Palit de Jongh wrote a topical theater piece about institutional racism. Maxine Palit de Jongh, Nadia Amin, Zephyr Brüggen are with the performance Vecht, nominated the BNG Bank Theaterprijs 2023.

In the gripping monologue Vecht, which Maxine Palit de Jongh wrote based on the allowance scandal, we witness the downfall of Zafirah a young sprightly woman who works for the legal department of a government institution, raises two children and is crushed in the racist wheels of government. Envelope after envelope falls on the mat, identifying Zafirah as a fraudster. She must pay and fine until there is nothing left of her. Fight makes tangible the devastating effects of the benefits affair (where tens of thousands of parents were falsely labeled fraudsters).
