Trendnacht 2022

At Trendnacht 2022, the collective gaze will be on Economic (R)evolution. We increasingly doubt whether more economic growth is the solution for a better future. Is growth always necessary or can we do with less? Is more always better? Our supplies are running out, nature is under severe pressure. Consumption, production, capacity are hitting the edges everywhere.

So it is time to ask: How can we do things differently?

The possibilities of a new balance in the future are explored in a full evening program, of which the first names may be shared!

PROGRAM

Led by artist Lucas De Man you'll go in search of answers and questions. You will delve into the economy of Brabant, look at its history, the present and the future. What are Brabant's values and where are its strengths and opportunities?

Keynote speaker Roxane van Iperen looks at the world with a financial-economic view, dissects power structures like no other and has a sharp eye for hypocrisy, inequality and integrity issues. In May 2022 her latest essay was published in book form 'Own welfare first: how the middle class lost its liberal values'.

In addition, you can look forward to a wide range of demolishers, boosters and champions of tomorrow's economy, including Gijs Diercks (DRIFT), Matthijs Janssen (Utrecht University), Shinta Oosterwaal (author 'Thrive') and Paul Schenderling (author 'How do I act honestly?').

This program will be expanded later with more speakers, thinkers, doers, workshops and pop-ups.
