BOM is a growth accelerator and based in Tilburg. They think along with innovative entrepreneurs and solution providers of social issues. They help realise ambitions, enter new markets and develop groundbreaking ideas into tangible products and services.
Together they work to make our competitive position more sustainable and to expand it. Because Brabant has everything it needs to perform on a global scale: economically, technologically and socially.
BOM works together with entrepreneurs who embrace new developments and realises that they achieve more by working together with other pioneers in the Brabant business community, knowledge institutions and a stimulating government. "By encouraging activity that responds to the fourth industrial revolution, we are building the economy of tomorrow. We provide an attractive business climate for foreign companies and for the preservation of employment. We help Brabant companies that want to spread their wings abroad and we stimulate the development of sustainable energy projects", says Bram van den Hoogen (Marketing Communications Manager at BOM).
The BOM is a public enterprise that bridges the gap between entrepreneurs, knowledge institutions and the government. Bram van den Hoogen: "We have no commercial interest. Our independent position opens doors that often remain closed to other commercial parties. This is how we stimulate cooperation and bring people and resources together. BOM often provides a capital requirement: from the funds we manage and the financial opportunities that present themselves from our network. With our investor readiness programme, we prepare startups for their financing applications. After all, the BOM on board gives us confidence. And that is good for the further substantiation of the company's capital requirement and development."
The Brabantse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij (BOM) was founded in 1983 by the Province of Noord-Brabant and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, partly at the insistence of the trade union movement, and was still shareholders. The rapidly deteriorating economic climate in Brabant urgently needed a new impulse. It is now high summer in the Brabant economy. With a top-class manufacturing industry and a world-class knowledge economy, we are among the fastest growing regions in Europe. The challenge no longer lies with today's problems, but with tomorrow's opportunities.
