The Kanaalzone is one of the oldest business parks in Tilburg, where many family businesses have been located for decades. A few examples are ABC Van Ierland, P. van der Wegen Gears BV, Gijsbers Salvage Company, Melis Coquillegietijen BV, Naayken's Luchttechnische Apparatenbouw, but also food companies such as Vion Rundvee Tilburg and Wilms Vlees BV and even a recently rebuilt bowling center De Dolfijn. The Kanaalzone has been developed since the 1920s and accommodates companies from various industries, with the emphasis on the (manufacturing) industry, wholesale and retail trade and (business) services. With a view to the future, the Kanaalzone is focusing on innovation and creativity. This industry is growing fast, boosting innovation and providing creative solutions for societal challenges. The Canal Zone in numbers The Kanaalzone covers approximately 60 hectares of the business park. The average plot size is 2,500 square meters, but the surfaces vary considerably. The largest lots - between 1 and 3 hectares - are generally used by the (manufacturing) industry.
