Anniversary edition 013 Cinecitta international film festival in Tilburg!

From October 17 to 22, Tilburg will once again be immersed in the enchanting world of the 013 Cinecitta International film festival (013 CIFF), and this time its fifth edition. The festival offers more than just films: film lectures, live music, and the chance to talk with international filmmakers. All this in the historic Cinecitta building, the oldest cinema hall in the Netherlands. Don't miss this!

This year the film festival is screening an exclusive selection of eighteen films from sixteen different countries. Of these, five films have never before been screened in the Netherlands or the Benelux and one film will even have its European premiere during the film festival.

On Tuesday, October 17, the festival kicks off with Le Ravissement. The debut of the talented French filmmaker Iris Kältenback. The film received rave reviews at the Cannes Film Festival and immediately won awards there.

O13 CIFF offers a total experience

In addition to the many film screenings, there are many other activities during the festival. Director and multiple Golden Calf winner Martin Koolhoven will give a film lecture prior to the film classic Easy Rider, there will be live music, and no less than four international film directors (from Japan, Lithuania, Poland and Portugal) will travel to Tilburg to be present after the screening of their film to explain the importance of their film, talk about the making process and answer questions from the audience. After the film, festival visitors can chat with the filmmakers over a drink in Ristobar29.

Cinecitta

In the monumental building that houses Cinecitta Tilburg, films have been shown since 1904. This makes room 1 of Cinecitta proud to call itself the oldest cinema in the Netherlands.
